who am i?

hi! you made it to the very bottom. i'm paula, i'm originally from white rock (aka actually south surrey) and now living in north saanich / sidney. i'm a 3rd-year biostats student at uvic; you may know me as the 2nd-best co-president of BUGS.I'm committed to the community and getting young people out to vote in this crucial election. Voters aged 18-35 have by far the LEAST voter turnout in the country!
Be it because of the unfamiliar and intimidating voting process, the overwhelming information and news, or just feeling hopeless, I want you to know your voice matters more than ever. Together, we can be heard by the whole world (cringe ahh declaration).
I hope my silly website was able to help make voting more accessible and fun to learn about!
I acknowledge with respect the Lək̓ʷəŋən People, on whose unceded territory the University of Victoria stands, the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, whose relationships with the land have persisted and continue to this day, and the sq̓əc̓iy̓aɁɬ təməxʷ (Katzie), Semiahmoo, and Kwantlen peoples, on whose territories I lived and learned for many years.
